Rockford Area Writers is a group for writers to meet, learn, and grow as writers. We meet every 2-3 weeks around the Rockford Area to foster community, and we also have an online space where writers can ask questions, discuss topics, or post about events. In the past, we've run an anthology, which was published back in 2024, titled Revolution.

Why the Rainbow Guide Matters to Us

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, it is important to me to not only know that the places and spaces I am in are safe, but also to provide those safe spaces to others in my community. I seek to lift all voices with Rockford Area Writers, but as a queer person, I hope to be a clear and visible space for those who are marginalized to grow and develop their voices.
