Because visibility and safety matter. Many LGBTQ+ folks, myself included, have had experiences of not feeling seen, respected, or understood in healthcare spaces. I strive to make my office not one of those places by being intentional about creating a welcoming, affirming environment where clients don’t have to explain or defend who they are. I support the LGBTQ+ community by providing affirming, trauma-informed care, using inclusive language, respecting identities, and advocating for clients to feel safe being their full selves
